Ames O'Neal Memorial Fund

There was something special about Ames’ eyes. You could feel it in his gaze – a playful glint that made you feel good and hinted at the joy and wonder he saw in the world. Ames opened hidden doors for you to see and experience more wonder. Ames had magic in his eyes.

Since Ames’ passing, many have asked: What can we do to honor Ames? How can we carry forward his compassionate spirit? What good can we do in his name? It has been humbling and awe-inspiring.

In the name of Ames, we’ve created the Ames O’Neal Memorial Fund – a nonprofit, charitable-giving fund with a simple mission: Support young people in creating a more wondrous world. The fund, formed in partnership with the Community Foundation Boulder County, will donate annually to charities focused on enriching the lives of today’s youth. We will actively manage the fund, selecting and advising all charitable gifts.

As Ames’ parents, we always thought we would leave this Earth first, and Ames’ would carry on the love and giving of our family. But now we must be Ames’ legacy. Thank you for joining us in bringing more wonder, joy and potential to as many kids as possible – in Ames’ name.

Tax Benefits of Giving

All donations made to the Ames O’Neal Memorial Fund enable you to receive tax benefits for your contributions. Donations can include cash, securities, closely held stocks, or more complex assets. Gifts made to the Fund will receive a tax receipt by mail. If you make a donation online you will automatically be emailed a tax receipt once your donation is processed.
