Environmental Trust
Protecting and promoting our shared environment.
Established in 1997, the Environmental Trust is a permanent endowment of Community Foundation Boulder County to meet the most pressing needs and opportunities in Boulder County related to the environment and environmental education. Together with funds from the foundation's larger Community Trust, 5% of the Environmental Trust is distributed annually based on the recommendations of our committee of community volunteers and with support and facilitation from the foundation's programs team.
The Environmental Trust is 100% invested in the foundation's Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) pool. Please join us in building our Environmental Trust so we can support the important work and programs of local, hard-working nonprofits, including:
- Cal-Wood Education Center
- Community Cycles
- Cottonwood Institute
- EcoArts Connection
- Eco-Cycle
- Growing Gardens
- MASA Seed Foundation
- ReSource Central
- Thorne Nature Experience
- Wild Bear Nature Center
- Wildlands Restoration Volunteers
- Women's Wilderness Institute
