About Community Trust
The Community Trust is a discretionary grantmaking fund of Community Foundation Boulder County, addressing needs throughout Boulder County in the following areas: animal care and welfare, arts and culture, civic engagement, education, environment, and health and human services.
The Community Trust inspires action around current and future needs countywide. As a long-standing signature program of Community Foundation Boulder County, grants awarded from the Community Trust support important programs and services with priority given to those that are working toward equitable outcomes for historically marginalized populations.
How Much Funding is Needed?
Every year, the community foundation is able to grant around $400,000 total in Community Trust grants, but we're never able to fully meet the needs of the community.
Last year, in an effort to help support the increasing need, we launched the Community Trust amplification effort, and the community stepped up. Together, we raised just over $100,000, increasing our available funding by 25%! This year, we plan to double down with a goal of raising $200,000 in support of the important work our grantees are doing throughout Boulder County.
